When is Bear Tracks taking place?
There are several Bear Tracks Highlander Transfer Student Transition Program session dates and all of the departments from the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CHASS) and the School of Business Administration (SOBA) will be present at each of the sessions.
The College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (CNAS) will not be present at any of the Bear Tracks session dates. Students enrolled in this college will receive academic advising and course registration information from their academic advisor via their UCR Webmail account. Should you have any questions, you can contact the CNAS Undergraduate Advising Center at (951) 827-7294, or by email at cnassaao@ucr.edu.
Due to the complexity of advising, students who are enrolling in the Bourns College of Engineering (BCOE) will need to complete advising and course registration during the month of August prior to attending Bear Tracks. In addition to meeting with an academic advisor for fall registration, The Bourns College of Engineering encourages incoming transfer students to attend Bear Tracks Orientation to get an early start on career development and preparation. At BTO, BCOE students will gain knowledge on scholarships, research opportunities and internships specifically for transfer students. BCOE students will receive advising and enrollment information via their UCR Webmail account before Bear Tracks with details on how to schedule the appointment for registration. Should you have any questions, please contact the BCOE Undergraduate Student Affairs Office at 951-827-ENGR (3647).
All sessions begin at 8 a.m. and continue to 5:30 p.m.
Avoid scheduling conflicting obligations or scheduling your departure before 5:30 p.m. on the day of your session; otherwise you won’t be able to register for classes at Bear Tracks.
