Do I need to take placement exams?
- You may not have to. But, if you intend to take mathematics in your first quarter, and haven’t yet taken college-level math classes equivalent to UCR’s Math 5 or higher with a grade of C- or better, you’ll need to take the Math Placement Exam. Please check with your department’s academic advisor or your college’s Student Academic Affairs Office for information regarding appropriate placement testing. For questions about Math Placement Examinations, please visit the Placement Test Web site at: www.placementtest.ucr.edu/mae/index.html or contact them at placemnt@pop.ucr.edu, or at (951) 827-3721. If you have general questions about placement exams, please go to: http://placementtest.ucr.edu/. If you have general questions about language courses, please contact Dawn Whelchel at dawn.whelchel@ucr.edu or at (951) 827-1421.
Where do I park? Where does Bear Tracks take place?
- Bear Tracks takes place in different places all over campus throughout the day. Your best bet is to come to campus off of the University Ave. exit on the 60 Freeway. From there, you'll see signs directing you to parking. From the parking lot, there will be signs directing you to the starting location of Bear Tracks. A few days before your scheduled Bear Tracks session, you will receive an email reminder with more detailed instructions.
