How do I register for the Bear Tracks Program?

  • Click on Register for Bear Tracks Transition on the left.  That will take you to the registration portion.  You will need your NetID to register, which can be found on your MyUCR Account approximately three business days after you submit your SIR.

What is the fee to attend Bear Tracks?

  • The fee for Bear Tracks is $40. The cost covers food, materials and all arrangements for the program.

How do I pay for Bear Tracks?

  • Your Bear Tracks program fee will be deferred to your fall quarter bill. Deferring the payment forwards the your Bear Tracks charges and any related date change fees to your Statement of Account (which can be paid by credit card or check).

What if I have registered online, but need to change my confirmed session date?

  • Contact the Bear Tracks Office via the information below at least 5 days before your confirmed Bear Tracks Session. If space is available, a change in date fee of $25 will be added to your Bear Tracks Fee.

How do I enroll in classes?

  • Luckily, we will be showing you how to register for classes at Bear Tracks! We’ve lined up experts in this particular field to help you with the process. Department advisors will help you with selecting classes.

Do I need to take placement exams?

  • You may not have to. But, if you intend to take mathematics in your first quarter, and haven’t yet taken college-level math classes equivalent to UCR’s Math 5 or higher with a grade of C- or better, you’ll need to take the Math Placement Exam. Please check with your department’s academic advisor or your college’s Student Academic Affairs Office for information regarding appropriate placement testing. Where do I park? Where does Bear Tracks take place?

  • Bear Tracks takes place in different places all over campus throughout the day. Your best bet is to come to campus off of the University Ave. exit on the 60 Freeway. From there, you'll see signs directing you to parking. From the parking lot, there will be signs directing you to the starting location of Bear Tracks. A few days before your scheduled Bear Tracks session, you will receive an email reminder with more detailed instructions.
